Pan Fried Gnocchi With Mushroom Sauce
In today's post I will be sharing with you another recipe that I have enjoyed and this recipe can be mixed and matched with a few other ingredients to make it even better for you.
Hard Italian Cheese
preheat the oven to 100oc. Put a large saucepan of water with a pinch of salt on to the boil for the broccoli. Halve and peel the shallots. Peel and grate the garlic and slice each mushroom into 4 pieces. Finely chop the parsley.
Add the broccoli to the boiling water and simmer until just cooked 3,4 mins. Once cooked drain and keep to the side.
Heat some oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot add the gnocchi and fry until crispy around the edges. Takes around 8 mins. Once cooked put on a baking tray and place in the middle shelf of your oven to keep warm until the end.
Heat another splash of oil in your frying pan over high heat. Add the shallot and cook stirring until soft. Around 4 mins. Add the mushrooms and fry until they are soft and browned 5mins. Finally add the garlic stir together and cook for 1 more min.
Add 100mls of water and a few grind of pepper to your frying pan. Allow to simmer over medium heat until the water has reduced for around 8-10 mins. Once reduced stir the creme fraiche into the sauce. Add the Gnocchi and broccoli and give it all a good stir.
Taste for seasoning and add more salt and pepper if necessary. Share out your portions and sprinkle over the hard italian cheese and top with parsley.
